planting trees for carbon offset

cronologic has been committed to offsetting the company's own CO2 footprint for years. But CO2 offsetting is one thing: companies that do not want to engage in greenwashing, but want to rely on really sensible offsetting measures, have to look very carefully to find out which provider they can trust. Because in the meantime, there are also many dubious workers on the market who, for example, offer regular reforestation as a CO2 compensation measure.

For this reason, we have carefully selected a provider who will take care of the trees for a period of at least 30 years. In cooperation with ecoCent e.V., we use the reforestation program to offset CO2 emissions over which we have no control, such as those from the manufacture of our products, shipping, our business premises, internet, heating, and, business travel and the commuting and private lives of our employees.

In doing so, we offset more than 3 times our emissions to account for the effect that it will take more than 10 years for the CO2 to be sequestered.

And while last year we planted 1500 trees in cooperation with ecoCent e.V. and NatureOffice, we have increased this number to 2000 trees (200 tree planting packages), since we have meanwhile increased our staff and expanded our business premises by an additional floor.

Our partner ecoCent e.V. is a non-profit association that was initiated in 2012 by friends and employees of natureOffce GmbH to be able to support social projects in the West African state of Togo.
